Junior Scientist Summer Program

Join us at the museum Monday-Thursday beginning June 2, 2025 to explore subjects including astronomy, paleontology, local history, and more! These hands-on activities take place at the Central Schoolhouse at the Carter County Museum and begin at 10 a.m. Classes will last about one hour.

June 20 - Native Games SCIFriday

10 a.m. - Noon

Join Pat Rouane, Certified Instructor, for a morning of indigenous games at Carter County Museum. Includes a make your own game craft.

July 25 - Sister Museum SCIFriday with Museum of the Rockies

1 - 3 p.m.

Join us for our annual Sister Museum SCIFriday with Museum of the Rockies! Part of the 13th Annual Dino Shindig festivities, this event will include a paleontology lecture by Ashley Hall, Outreach Program Manager at MOR, and an activity led by Barb Elmore, CCM Museum Educator.

August 8 - Fairgrounds SCIFriday

1 - 3 p.m.

Takes place at the Carter County Fairgrounds after the pet parade. Activities include Dinosaur Ice Cream and more!
